As part of the Good Neighbor Day July 4th celebration, our Rotary club will hold its annual canoe & kayak race. 🚣♀️🚣♂️🚣♀️🚣♂️🚣♀️🚣♂️🚣♀️🚣♂️
Races commence at 10:00am, with heats every 10 minutes
Kayak heats: 10:00am
Canoe heats: 10:30am
** Registration on site at the creek is at 7:30am. **
Entry fee is $20. This can be paid at Registration desk or online when you register on the GND website - https://goodneighborday.com/activity/boat-race/
1st and 2nd places will receive medals. All competitors will receive popsicles and cold beverages at the end.
Race begins in Kerr Park near 30 business bridge. Race ends at Georgia Farms Bridge in East Bradford. Estimated distance is 7 miles. All competitors must finish by 2pm.
***New this year*** Our sponsor will provide a shuttle back to Downingtown Borough for any persons competing in the Canoe/Kayak races.
We will have a heat just for kayakers. Anyone interested, must bring their own kayak. Everyone must have life preserver.
ANY CANOE RENTALS MUST BE DONE THROUGH NORTHBROOK CANOE CO. Please call them directly to arrange your canoe rental at 610-793-2279. There are no Kayak rentals available.
