What is Krampuslauf?
Krampus, in central European popular legend, a half-goat, half-demon monster that punishes misbehaving children at Christmastime.
In Germanic tradition, on the Feast of St. Nicholas, Krampus Houses from many of the local villages would gather with lights and torches to punish the bad children before the Christmas Holiday, and Yule prior to the Christianization of Germanic regions.
