The Sunderland Empire Theatre is a large theatre venue located in High Street West in Sunderland North East England. The theatre which opened in 1907 is owned by City of Sunderland Council and operated by Ambassador Theatre Group Ltd on behalf of Sunderland Empire Theatre Trust.
The theatre is one of the largest venues in the North East with 1860 seats and the capacity to accommodate 2200 when all standing positions are occupied.
The auditorium is also one of the few remaining in the UK to have four tiers namely the Orchestra Stalls the Dress Circle the Upper Circle and the Gallery.

This event is run as a non-profit all proceeds go towards covering the Venue fee's and Refreshment costs. Our event is dedicated to promoting and supporting local small businesses and we believe in the power of community!
Get Kraken CIC
Get Kraken aims to reduce the digital divide in the region by delivering digital skills in the form of webinars workshops and 1-2-1 support. We are a local Databank providing free access to the Internet for those in income-deprived areas.
We love to support local business and reduce the loneliness that often can be a part of working for yourself or as a startup.
