It's that time again, KR Long Run March Edition! We had a great turnout the last few months to kick start 2025 so are also hoping you'll join us again for a fresh new course for the next one on Sunday, 16 March 2025 at 7am. 📅
If you are training for a half or full marathon or simply just wanting to do a long run along a scenic route (because why not!?) whilst having fun and a great chat along the way then this is for you! A great way to build endurance for the upcoming racing season and build up your kilometres in a supportive, friendly environment.
On offer again will be a 10km, 20km and 30km distance option kindly led by @Trevor Builder, @Melvyn Bolus and myself/ @Brian Gore (respectively) with all distance options beginning and ending at the usual KR meeting spot at the steps to the bridge. This month, the courses will take in some scenic views and challenging hills (great hill training) passing through Mosman, Middle Head, Taronga Zoo and the lower North Shore, finishing back through Blues Point and to Kirribilli (30k/ 20k options). The popular 10k Long Run route will also again be on offer. Pace options will depend on who attends for each distance but generally will be between 5.30 and 6 min pace so all are welcome no matter your fitness level. We generally aim to run as a group for our long runs and will stop for a few photos along the way and water as well. 💧 📸
Meet at 6.45am for a prompt 7am departure. Bring your KR shirt, comfy shoes, snacks, gels and sun protection. No bag drop service will be available due to different finishing times and parking restrictions.
Course maps will for each distance option are posted on the event page, please indicate which distance option you are interested in completing to help us plan accordingly. 👀
All are welcome, should be a great day out, good times and good humour guaranteed! 😅
