KOZ Day Out! Date: February 7, 2026
Drop off: Christian Life Austin 8:30 AM
Pick up: Christian Life Austin 4:30 pm
This month’s theme is Outdoor Gear
The boys will be: Learning about and using Hunting and Fishing Gear. Also the most important gear to have for a Christian Life, the word of God!
Bring:
Pocket knife (If they have one)
KOZ Bible
KOZ shirt and or hat
Boots or closed toed shoes (no crocs, slides or flip flops)
We will be going to Richard Johnson’s ranch near Luling for hands on learning about outdoor gear including hunting and fishing equipment. How to use your gear correctly and maintain it. Eating tasty wild game for lunch!
All meals and plenty of Gatorade/Water are included. As always, Dads are also invited.
We will be teaching What types of gear you need for a successful hunting or fishing trip
Our scripture for this month is: Matthew 6:21, for where your treasure is there will be your heart also…
Also have them memorize the KOZ prayer: "Lord thank you for making us strong and fierce warriors for you. We hunt, we fish, we share our faith with others. God bless America. Amen"
KOZ Pledge: “No KOZ Left Behind” I solemnly pledge under oath that I will never leave my KOZ brothers behind. I will always be kind to them, help them when they look like they have too much, run to them when they yell for help, give them the best seat and first chance at everything. They are my brothers; we fight evil together.
