Once the Korokoro stream valley floor would have been filled with towering giants, like the mighty Totara and Kahikatea. Join KEG for a planting day taking small steps to put back some of what was once there.Where: A few hundred meters from the Cornish st stream entrance
Bring: Sturdy footwear and clothing, gloves if you have them, a cup for tea after. KEG will have some gear, but if you have equipment for hacking plants, augers, or spades (for quite solid ground) that would be useful to. And always, any friends, family or neighbors you can rope into joining.
What: Plant out a recently cleared area, interplant existing plantings, push back against creeping willows, extend our site if theres lots of hard folk and enjoy some biscuits tea and coffee and the good company of your neighbors.
