About this Event
Presented in Korean and English by local calligrapher Manny Kim and Frank Kwon, this free workshop invites adults and children (aged 5 and above) to explore four styles of Korean calligraphy: 궁체정자체, 궁체흘림체, 서간체, 판본체. Participants will have the opportunity to see demonstrations with explanations of each letter and learn to write a New Year’s message and their own names.
All materials and supplies are provided including paper, brush and ink. Just come along to enjoy this fun session. Everyone is welcome!
Please note: Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult.

지역 서예가 매니 킴과 프랭크 권이 진행하는 이 무료 워크숍은 성인과 어린이(5세 이상)를 대상으로 궁체정자체, 궁체흘림체, 서간체, 판본체 등 네 가지 한국 서예 스타일을 배워보는 기회를 제공합니다. 참가자들은 각 글자에 대한 설명과 함께 시연을 관람하고, 새해 인사와 자신의 이름을 쓰는 법을 배울 수 있습니다.
참고: 6세 미만 어린이는 반드시 보호자와 동반해야 합니다.
