On October 1st we spent the day at KC children's Mercy Hospital due to some concerning ultrasound pictures we got a few weeks back. We received the official diagnosis that our daughter has a rare malformation called (VOGM)
Vein of Galen malformation. This is an abnormal arrangement of blood vessels in the brain that also affects the heart. Right now our girl is a fighter and is working to keep everything functioning properly. We will be having weekly visits in KC to monitor her heart and brain. The professionals in KC are also collaborating with Doctor Orbach in Boston to work on a plan for our girl.
