In conjunction with the launch of "PressPause" a TANCHEN Studio x MORNING collaborative collection, we present a special edition of "Coffee Chats"Kopi & Kueh with Sanchia and Amber, the co-founders of .


is a design studio based in Singapore and Shanghai that focuses on textiles as the basis of their practice. With a process-based approach, they create functional textiles that can be used as autonomous elements within a living space. Renowned for their artisanal workmanship and commitment to slow fashion, TANCHEN Studio emphasizes crafting high-quality, sustainable textile work. Some of the label’s signature pieces are the 0/0 Bag and the MAZHA Stool.


Join us for an inspiring and insightful afternoon at June's MCC Meetup, where we continue our fireside chat series featuring the duo behind TANCHEN Studio. Sanchia and Amber will share the story of the brand, their journey so far, and the inspiration behind the "PressPause" collaboration.


In this edition, Sanchia and Amber will discuss:

  • The highlights of their journey so far
  • Building a niche and small business
  • Their inspirations and motivations
  • The"PressPause" collaboration with MORNING

TANCHEN Studio is a collaborative project between Sanchia Tan and Amber Chen. They focus on textiles as the basis of their practice, and take a process-based approach to design with a focus on new materials and tactility. From their studios based in Singapore and Shanghai, they create functional textiles that can be used as autonomous and artful elements within a living space. They always aim to source and design mindfully as we celebrate the potential of materials, craft, and techniques.
