Die Denkraum-Reihe Sound & Lecture verbindet die Präsentation eines künstlerischen Projekts mit einem KünstlerInnengespräch, das von Mathias Maschat moderiert wird. Zu Gast sind Nicola Hein, Christian Grüny, Simon Rose, Claudia Schmitz und Maria Colusi mit Aspect Seeing – An Artistic Re-Reading.
Die Eigenschaft unserer Wahrnehmung, ein Wort, ein Bild oder einen Klang in Kontexten zu verstehen, bezeichnete der Philosoph Ludwig Wittgenstein als ‚Aspektsehen‘. Bei diesem Phänomen nimmt das interdisziplinäre Projekt Aspect Seeing – An Artistic Re-Reading seinen Ausgang. Musik, philosophischer Text, Tanz und Video treffen darin aufeinander und begegnen sich in der Improvisation. Das Aspektsehen, ebenso wie die damit verbundene Fähigkeit des Aspektwechsels, werden dabei künstlerisch und philosophisch auf mehreren Ebenen reflektiert. Eines der Anliegen ist es, das Potential von Wittgensteins Auseinandersetzung mit Wahrnehmungspsychologie und Bedeutungskonstruktion in einer Reinterpretation durch die Künste, in ihrer Interaktion und Relationalität, zu befragen.
Die Performance ist der Auftakt zu dem Symposium Sinn und Präsenz in Improvisation.

The Denkraum series Sound & Lecture combines the presentation of an artistic project with an artist talk moderated by Mathias Maschat. Guests are Nicola Hein, Christian Grüny, Simon Rose, Claudia Schmitz and Maria Colusi with Aspect Seeing – An Artistic Re-Reading.
The philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein described the nature of our perception, to understand a word, an image or a sound in context, as ‘aspect seeing’. The interdisciplinary project Aspect Seeing – An Artistic Re-Reading starts with this phenomenon. Music, philosophical text, dance and video meet each other and meet in improvisation. Aspect seeing, as well as the associated ability of aspect change, is reflected artistically and philosophically on several levels. One of the concerns is to question the potential of Wittgenstein’s engagement with perceptual psychology and construction of meaning in a reinterpretation by the arts, in their interaction and relationality.
The performance is the start of the symposium Sinn und Präsenz in Improvisation.
