The Dutch Club's Koningsdag (King's Day) event once again features the ORANGE BIKE RIDE around Avalon Park and ORANGE MYSTERY TRAIL, with prizes for the best dressed. All roads lead to the Dutch Clubrooms at Avalon House, where we will have Dutch food and drink for sale, music, games, and a mini-'kleedjesmarkt', for children to sell off pre-loved toys, books, clothes etc. It's an excellent opportunity to celebrate Dutch culture - or come and learn about why we wear orange, when our flag is red, white and blue! Heel gezellig!
Orange Bike kicks off at the children's bike paths at Avalon Park from 10am. Dress yourself and your bike in orange and go in for prizes - make sure you arrive by 11.15 for judging. Register for free at https://tinyurl.com/orangebikehutt to guarantee your spot for prizes, and for a free stroopwafel and drink.
Avalon House (61 Taita Drive) will open from 11am for sale of (CASH ONLY):
• coffee/tea, soft drinks
• Bar service with wine and beer
• Cake, kroketten, rookworsten
We will have in the Dutch Clubroom grounds:
• Sjoelbak and other Dutch games
• Children's kleedjesmarkt (sell pre-loved books, games, clothes)
• Orange Bike prizegiving at 12.15 pm
