? Join Us at the KOM Children’s Safety Scavenger Hunt Event! ?Calling all young explorers! ? Are your kids ready for an educational and thrilling scavenger hunt? Look no further! The KOM Children’s Safety Scavenger Hunt Event is here, and it’s FREE for children aged 5 to 13 years old. ?
What to Expect:
1. Scavenger Hunt Adventure:
⭐ Gather your team of intrepid explorers! Each group can have up to 6 participants (that’s 2 adults + 4 children). Mix and match—bring your friends, cousins, or neighbours!
⭐ Embark on a thrilling journey through Queen Elizabeth Park’s predetermined path, where exciting community partner booths await!
⭐ At each booth, you’ll dive into different safety topics. Our partners are here to make safety both informative and FUN! ?
? Ecomm 911: Learn how to use emergency services effectively. Dialling 911 isn’t just for grown-ups—it’s a superpower every kid should know!
? Bike Safety Booth: Hop on a stationary bike and pedal your way through essential safety rules. From helmet fitting to hand signals, we’ve got it covered.
? Pedestrian Safety Zone: Practice safe street-crossing techniques. Look left, look right, and look left again! ?♀️
?♀️➡️ POPAT Challenge: Channel your inner superhero! Experience a mini POPAT (Physical Abilities Requirement Evaluation) challenge. Can you conquer the obstacle course?

Our partners include the Vancouver Police Department, VPD Mounted Unit Horses, Vancouver Fire Rescue Services, Block Watch, Crime Stoppers, Transit Police, Road Safety BC, ICBC, St. John Ambulance, VPD Indigenous Cadets, and various Community Policing Centres. They’re all here to make safety AWESOME!
2. Get Ready for Surprises:
⭐ During the event, every child will receive a special gift bag. ? What’s inside? Well, that’s a secret! But trust us—it’s filled with goodies, surprises, and memories waiting to be made! ?
How to Sign Up:
⭐ Check the available time slots. Remember, groups can’t exceed 6 participants.
⭐ If you spot an open slot that fits your group, sign up ASAP! Spaces are limited.
⭐ Important: If you find out that your family cannot make it to the event, please be considerate and remove your reservation promptly. This will free up space for another eager family to join the adventure!
