Kokedama - Japanese for moss ball, are sometimes known as 'poor man's bonsai'. Kokedama is the art of encasing the roots of plants in layers of special soil and moss, effectively making a ball at the base of the plant which can then be hung or placed on a saucer to display.
In recent years kokedama have become a fashionable way to display both indoor and outdoor plants, gracing the interiors of hip indivuals and the windows of groovy cafes. More than that, kokedama are great fun to make; and straightforward once you know the steps and materials involved.
You will learn how to create a kokedama using traditional Japanese methods - so that your plants have every chance at success. All materials are provided along with notes, plus you will create two small kokedamas to take home with you!
