Under the light of the full moon, we gather once again
to drum, to move, and to share rhythm beneath the open sky.
We are in Kohitātea, the clearing time of the maramataka -
a season of lightness, release, and making space for what is to come.
The full moon Rākaunui invites us to soften,
to shed what feels heavy,
and to step gently into the new year ahead.
Friends of the fire,
this is a time to rise to the beat of the drums,
to let the body move as it wishes,
and to dance our way into connection -
with the earth beneath our feet
and the moon above.
As we gather, there will be moments to warm ourselves by the fire
and share a cup of chai.
If you feel called, a small $1-$5 koha is welcomed,
and bringing a little dry wood is always appreciated.
All are welcome.
Bring a friend, a drum, a rattle, or simply yourself.
Come as you are.
