The Australian Koala Foundation (AKF) is proud to announce their flagship event of the year, the Koala Army’s March for Creatures Great and Small. Coinciding with the start of ‘Save the Koala Month’, thousands of supporters will take to the streets of Canberra on Sunday, September 1st, 2024, in a celebration of diversity, advocacy, and a shared commitment to protecting Australia’s wildlife.Join us in person on 1 September in Canberra – OR – if you live overseas or cannot be there you can still celebrate from afar wherever you are in the world!

Joining the March is a simple process outlined below. Follow this link and fill out the details: https://www.savethekoala.com/koala-army
March participants are divided into distinct squadrons, each representing and advocating for various Australian wildlife species.
By joining a squadron, you amplify your voice for the animals in need and fight for a future where all wildlife is protected by the Koala Protection Act. Your squadron will also be your main point of contact during the event day, and you’ll march together.
1. Select Your Squadron: Select from the provided list, an animal squadron you wish to represent on the day.
2. Provide Your Details: Fill in your name, country, email address, and your chosen squadron in the registration form.
3. Dress Up and March: Dress up in vibrant costumes for your animal and march with us on 1st September 2024.
?Can’t attend??
If you’re unable to join us physically on September 1, 2024, there are still impactful ways you can contribute, and we will host a livestream of the event on the day. You can organise your own celebration wherever you are!
