The Know Your Pace Race ... where you leave your Garmin at home, and the Winner is the runner who best predicts their Finish Time on the 4.737 Mile loop of the Manchester Road Race course (but starting and finishing near Manchester High School). Race hosted by the Silk City Striders on the Saturday before the MRR in conjunction with the Road Race Expo. This is a great way to earn your Seed card for the MRR. Entry fee is $5 or a Baked Good (which we will use for prizes to the Best Predictors). Limit to 100 Runners Race Day Registration only. The race starts at 8:00 AM, and runs the entire Manchester Road Race Course (but with the Start/Finish at the corner of East Center Street and Brookfield, instead of at the "Real Start/Finish Line" near Oak Street.You must come to the Silk City Striders check-in table at 192 East Center St., Manchester, CT to register at 7:30 AM. The entry fee is only $5 or a Baked Good. The Winners are not those who run the fastest time, but those who most accurately predict their finish time with NO ELECTRONIC ASSISTANCE. Watches, Garmin, Sunto, Fitbit, Nike+, Cell phones with GPS tracking, etc. are strictly forbidden.
Please Note: The roads are open to traffic. All participants must wear an orange safety vest which we will provide with your KYPR Race Number attached.
Application form is available for download from the Silk City Striders FaceBook Page. Please bring your signed Application form and $5 Entry Fee (or a Baked Good) with you on Race Day.
