When paying online mention your full name that matches the one on Eventbrite Online registration guarantees your spot and if you fail to pay at the door, your spot in the tournament will be forfeited.

Unless everyone is present, Check-in begins at 2:15 p.m. Check in ends at 2:30 p.m.

Online payments needs to be sent virtually before 2:30p.m. to hold your spot. In person registration will be available given spots are available.

Knockout Tournament --> First round is a round of 16 with clock time Starting at 2+1. Then, the winners and losers of that round will be separated into brackets.

If you win, you stay in Winners bracket until you're last winner(Favorite). If you lose in Winners bracket, you move down to loser's bracket.

If you win in Loser's bracket, you stay in this bracket until you're the last loser (Underdog). If you lose in loser's bracket, you're eliminated.

At the start of the semi finals, clocks are reduced to 1+1. And in the finals, clocks reduced to 1+0.

You are only eliminated out the tournament after 2 losses.

Since this is a knockout tournament. You play your opponent again if there's a draw and swap colors. If there's 2 draws, the final game is armeggedon. (Black has lower time -1/5 of current time and draw counts as win for black)

In Winner vs Loser Final: If Favorite wins (Last Remaining Winner), end of tournament.

If Underdog (Last Remaining Loser), switches colors and plays again with favorite for final.

If there's a draw, armeggedon.

The last person to play the Underdog before the Favorite gets 3rd place.

RULES

1-HAND ONLY. Once the timer starts, there's only 1 hand for everything. (Piece movement, piece adjustments, pawn promotion, etc)

Castle with 1 hand. No two hand castling.

TOUCH MOVE! If you touch a piece you have to move it!

If your opponent touches a piece without saying adjust BEFORE touching, they have to move it

NO PREMOVE!!! Wait until your opponent hits the clock to make move.

Adjust a piece on your time. If you drop a piece, move it on your time before hitting your clock. (Adjustments that moves a piece in a different spot will be considered an illegal move and automatic win for your opponent.)

NO ILLEGAL MOVES whether with the king or other pieces is AUTOMATIC LOSS. However, illegal moves can't be forced. As long as your opponent corrected their move BEFORE hitting the clock, it's safe. (Ex: move their king in check, lets go, then moves it elsewhere, hits clock)

***Since the time controls are prone for chaos, it would be ideal to record your games with a phone/tripod your in case of a dispute.***

If Footage that needs to get reviewed by me, the first person to make an illegal move/premove/2hand move/adjust piece on time loses.
