The Tutor
Jason McGuinness from Dromore West Co Sligo is a renowned Fiddle Player with a keen interest in the Sligo musical heritage.He has won several All-Ireland titles on Fiddle, Drums, Duet, Ceili Band and Grupa Ceoil's etc most recently first places in All Ireland Slow Airs, Duet, and Grupa Ceol competitions, and most recently won the All-Ireland Senior Fiddle Competition at Fleadh Fest 2021. He is the first Sligo winner since 1970 of the prestigious Fiddler of Dooney competition in 2016, and Ed Reavy International Senior Fiddle of the year in 2018.He has performed on the Comhaltas Tours of Ireland, England, and Canada in 2011 and 2012 and has recently finished tours in Germany and France before the covid lockdowns.He has also won the prestigious Siansa Gael Linn competition with his group 'Teaspach' in 2011 and Sligo Feis Ceoil Senior Musician of the Year.
On the Day
Workshops will start promptly at 2pm. Parents should allow time for registration beforehand. Workshops will finish promptly at the stated time and parents/guardians will need to be there to collect their children promptly at the end of workshop.
