Our incredible friend, Jojo, just went through a marathon medical procedure (a double mastectomy) like the absolute boss she is. She's currently recovering like a champ, which is fantastic news!The less-than-fantastic news? As a seriously spectacular server, if she isn't slingin' hash and charm at your table, she isn't making those sweet, sweet tips. And trust us, the bills aren't exactly lining up to be cut any slack just because Jojo is on a medical time-out.
So, what are we doing about it?
We're putting together a benefit recovery fund! This isn't just about covering boring stuff like rent and bills; it's about making sure Jojo can focus 100% on healing and not have to stress about the 'why-didn't-I-just-get-another-side-of-guac?' financial regrets. And all that’s left after what insurance won’t cover.
How will this help her you ask?
Replace lost income. This is the big one! It's our way of "tipping out" our favorite server so she can take the time she genuinely needs to come back stronger, healthier, and ready to take your next order.
We will have pasta dinner ready to go and take out for $20
For an additional $10 you can add a chicken croquette from Sarah - might I add the best I’ve ever tasted.
We will also be hosting a bake sale by Leah and Steph. Nobody else in this world we would trust with the sweet stuff. From cookies, cupcakes to brownies and peanut butter crackers and more!
In addition to all this delicious food, we will have basket and gift card raffles plus a wheelbarrow of cheer!
