No experience needed! This 3-week workshop for adults will teach you how to knit a basic wool hat and is an excellent beginner-friendly project for anyone who is interested in starting to knit.
Participants will learn how to read and resize knitting patterns, join and knit in the round, knit ribbing, decrease, and knit stockinette stitch in the round. You will also be able to personalize your hat with stripes or pom poms.
Please bring the following supplies:
• 1 skein of worsted weight wool yarn (Beck recommends Briggs and Little Softspun or Regal carried by Wool Trends)
• 1 set of 16″ US 10 or 6mm circular knitting needles
• and 1 set US 10 or 6mm double pointed needles (dpns)
• Stitch Marker
• Large darning needle (big enough eye to thread your yarn through)
Wool Trends at 238 Hamilton Avenue is a lovely local business, tell them ATC sent you for class supplies and ask about pre-wound wool.
