Perfect for those with a basic knowledge of knitting, it'll teach you everything you need to know to create the perfect handknitted gift. If you can knit and purl, you can knit these bed socks. You'll get to grips with stretchy cast-ons, knitting in the round, turning a heel, and using kitchener stitch to close a toe
The 2.5 hour workshop gives plenty of time to knit one sock, and you'll take home everything you need to finish your second as the pattern, yarn, and needles are all included in the workshop price.
And we'll all have plenty of tea and biscuits. Of course.
About the tutor
Jacki is the knitter and designer behind the Woolly Badger. With more than a deacde of knitting experience, she's now often found up in her top-floor craft cave working on new designs, or teaching online workshops. You can see what she's up to on Instagram, or find out more on her website
What skill level do I need to have?
You only need to have a basic knowledge of knitting to join this workshop; if you can work a basic knit stitch, then you'll be golden. The workshop will cover everything else you need to know to knit the socks, but if you want to have a chat before booking on, do get in touch.
What's included?
The price of the workshop includes yarn, needles, pattern, and all the tea and biscuits you could desire. We'll be using acrylic/wool mix yarn as standard, but if you'd prefer to have pure wool yarn, there's an upgrade available for that.
About the venue
The workshop is happening at the lovely Creative Space on North Street, Bedminster, Bristol. It’s a dedicated space just for creative workshops like this one.
