Sock Class2/1, 2/8, & 2/15; Sundays from 11am-1pm at Casting On
Cost: $72 per student
Class size is limited to 10 students
Learn to knit socks, and learn to customize them so that you can knit them to fit any size foot, and use any weight yarn.
These socks will be knit from the toe up, and use a short row heel.
Pattern:
We will be using the Fish Lips Kiss Heel pattern by: Sox Therapist. $2.50

Yarn:
In theory, you can use any weight yarn to knit these socks. In reality, it will be a little
easier to learn if you use a yarn that is either sport weight or DK weight, such as The Fibre Company’s Amble, Four Crows Just DK, or Zauberball Starke. (Check them out at Casting On to see all the pretty colors.)
Needles:
You will need knitting needles that are appropriately sized for the yarn you select.
If you are a loose knitter, consider going down a size or two from what the yarn label recommends.
You will also need to choose needles that are appropriate for knitting a small circumference in the round, such as DPNs, flexi flips, 2 circulars, or a long circular for using the magic loop technique.
*Note: Shorty circulars are also an option, but you would need one of the other options listed above to begin the toe.
Prep-work:
Consider working a gauge swatch before class.
Working it in the round is a bonus.
Read through the pattern and make yourself a cardboard foot template prior to class.
