About this Event
In this hands-on cooking class with Chef Heidi, you will get more comfortable with a knife, and learn classic cutting skills that will level up your home cooking and increase your meal prep speed.
We will cover different knives and their uses, the basic care of knives, and how to cut vegetables and fruits with ease.
Learn how to chop, slice, dice, mince, and julienne safely, quickly, and efficiently. We will be using our cut vegetables to make a delicious meal to share at the end of class, including various vegetable preparations, fresh cut salsa, soup and stir fry.
Knives will be provided, but Chef Heidi encourages you to bring in your own knives and cutting boards to practice with, if desired. (Basic knife requirements are a 6-inch to 10-inch chef's knife and a small paring knife.)
