Knife Skills 101 with bonus knife sharpening

Looking to improve your efficiency in the kitchen? Knife skills are the answer! Chef Michelle will introduce you to various types of knives and demonstrate their proper uses. We will focus on proper knife-holding, correct finger positioning and a variety of cutting and chopping methods. After taking the time to practice these new techniques, we will use our prep ingredients to make shrimp & vegetable stir fry, tex-mex slaw and fresh fruit salad with honey-lime dressing. Whether you’ve been cooking for years or you’re just starting, this class is for you!
BONUS: We’ve contracted with Susquehana Sharpening to offer knife sharpening during the class. Each participant may bring up to 4 non-serrated kitchen knives to be sharpened during the class. We have added the sharpening fee to the class cost. You will leave ready to put your new skills to work with your expertly sharpened kitchen knives.
