Oslo`s Øyvind Morken has a unique ability to play everything from A to Z of what genres concern. Delivering sets full of personality and style, while working the dance floor in the most unexpected ways. Holding down weekly and monthly club residencies for the last 20 years plus. One of the original residents at Jaeger since it's opening date in 2011. Often drawing in a crowd of open-minded party freaks for nights of wild abandon, and where musical diversity and self-expression is encouraged.Because of his openness to music, and seeing no boundaries in genres, over the years Morken has played with a diverse group of guests such as; Theo Parrish, Tiga, James Lavelle, Larry Heard, Juan Atkins, Hunee, Nu Genea, JD Twitch (Optimo), Legowelt, Anthony "Shake" Shakir, Young Marco, Horse Meat Disco, Vladimir Ivkovic and Nightmares On Wax.
There are also productions and remixes taking up catalog space on such diverse labels as Mysticisms, Snick Snack, L.I.E.S. Records, Moonlighting, Snorkel Records, Full Pupp and it's more techno oriented sister label Rett i Fletta, Olsen Records and Gravity Graffiti.
All of this has led to a stream of international gigs. Spinning at rave-ups like Berghains's Laboratory and Bassiani in Tbilisi to Koko and Phonox in London, Lux in Lisbon, Razzmatazz in Barcelona, and guesting loads of smaller institutions like Charlie in Munich, 20/44 in Belgrade and 101 in Clermont-Ferrand. Also appearing at festivals like Dekmantel Selectors, Kala and Dimensions. His clients also include a list of who's who of the Norwegian art scene and a bunch of fashionistas. Though he has never DJed at a wedding, he did spin at a funeral once, for non other than the infamous artist Hariton Pushwagner's wake.
