About this Event
Hosted by Boston-based violinist & violist, Rebecca Mac
About the Host:
Mac regularly performs in various ensembles including Mamaliga, a contemporary quartet performing original Klezmer & Eastern-European folk inspired compositions, Zol Zayn, a klezmer dance-band, & Zunroyz, a trio un-earthing string repertoire from the Jewish music archives.
4:00 PM: WORKSHOP
We’ll learn a tune together, slowly by ear. If you don’t know a lot of tunes, or you’re looking to add to your repertoire, this is a great opportunity for the Klez-pros and amateurs alike to learn something new!
5:00 PM: INTERMISSION
Light refreshments & an open top shelf bar follow the workshop!
5:30 PM: JAM
Bring a tune to lead, play along, do a dance, or just come to listen! All are welcome!
NOTE: Though this is a free event, welcome to fund latkes, L' Chaims with slivovitz & other drinks, & to thank the Musicians!
