These are fun informal and social coaching sessions designed for those who would like to take a set up with their bike handling skills and group riding - possibly with an aim at starting racing (although you don't have to want to race!)
You will need to have ridden with groups before and be able to ride continuously for at least 30 mins - to an hour, and have general bike handling skills.
(These sessions aren't really suitable for beginners, but we highly recommend Breeze ride and coaching by British Cycling to get started! then once you've built up from there come join us!)
You'll need a helmet and a drop handle style bike.
Bikes will need to be clear for race weeks (i.e no saddlebags, cameras, Lights ,mudguards etc)
Each of the weeks will cover different skills needed to build confidence in areas like cornering and group riding - particularly 'at speed' and will be designed to help increase fitness and confidence.
At every other session there will be an opportunity to have a go at racing and put those new skills into practice with your new friends! (Trust me there is no better way to push up your fitness level!)
There are no age or speed limits, and there is no such thing as 'too old' or 'too slow'
Don't worry if you are coming solo, you'll make friends with like minded Women!
Join our FB page and Group and follow us on Instagram @ridelikeagirluk and feel free to drop us a message at any point if you are unsure or just need to ask a question!
This is a not for profit event series and any profits from these events will go into creating more events and a sustainable community of people who identify as women/NB.
