Made possible thanks to proceeds from the annual Klamath Music Festival, the Klamath Music Showcase Series is a musical performance series featuring local, regional, and traveling talent. FREE Admission. All ages welcome! Performing at this Event:
6pm: Rachel Wilson
7pm: Rudolf Korv
RACHEL WILSON:
Coming to us from Silver Lake, Oregon, Rachel Wilson is one half of the locally-beloved group, Wampus Cat. As with her duets with husband, Matt, Rachel’s solo work also combines storytelling and comedy into a style of music one might playfully label “Folk-a-billy!” A dynamic performer, Rachel has performed at events large and small throughout the region, including the Tulelake Butte Valley Fair and Klamath Folk Festival.
RUDOLF KORV:
For Eugene-based singer-songwriter Rudolf Korv, it’s about honoring the journey, while never losing sight of where he’s been. It’s about listening to the small voice that guides us along the way, whether it comes from somewhere deep inside or someplace high above.
A transplant to the Willamette Valley from his hometown of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Korv heard such a calling drawing him to the Pacific Northwest a few years ago. The journey is chronicled in his single “Oregon (Land that I Love),” available on all the major streaming services.
Dancing in and out of the lines of blues, rock, and country, Rudolf Korv’s music can best be described as Americana. Shaped by acts such as Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Korv’s sound carries a touch of Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder coming through his sonorous growth, but with compositions more tender.
