Kizomba is a fun dance from Angola and Cabo Verde and is perfect for dancers of all levels. The footwork is simple and quite relaxing, but can quickly become intricate as dancers develop their skills and learn new combinations. Basic steps will be covered during the lesson before we start playing with fun combinations. We will focus on a mix of foundational, technical and connection-based skills. Our hope is to help build confident dancers :)
Kizomba is rooted in mutual connection, never in obligation. Any romantic or sensual expression is entirely up to you and your partner. We value respect, clear boundaries and a safe space for our students, so please keep this in mind too.
When:
Every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month
Lesson is from 7-8pm
Social starts at 8pm and goes until Bruce kicks us out :P

Cost:
$15 for the lesson and social
$5 for the social only
We rotate during class, so no partner is required. You're not obligated to rotate if you have a partner you'd like to learn with.
ALL levels are welcome.
No outside shoes. Socks are a great alternative!
