About this Event
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! You're about to register as a volunteer for Prince George's annual craft beer tasting festival.
Please read the following volunteer information:
- First of all, volunteering for this event is just super fun!
- We raise funds for Kiwanis projects and children's charities
-The event increases community pride as a fun winter social
-It's a fun, classy event, with a comfortable, safe feel closer to a wine festival than a beer garden
-Kiwanis AleFest is organized by Kiwanis Prince George, a local non-profit community service organization- Over 3 tasting sessions, there are 1,100+ ticketed guests, and 50+ volunteers and staff from the breweries and restaurants.
Volunteer Registration Details:
- We're looking for volunteers who can cover specific shifts we've developed for pre-event set-up, three tasting sessions, and post-event takedown.
- You must be 19 years or older to volunteer for the tasting session (and attend the event) - 2 pieces of identification (1 being photo ID) may be requested
- Once you've completed your volunteer registration, you will receive an email order confirmation. If you do not see this confirmation email in your inbox, please check your spam/junk folder. If you are having any registration issues, please email us at [email protected]
- By being a volunteer you give Kiwanis Prince George and the media permission to appear in or on promotional items such as, but not limited to, news broadcasts, websites, social media, marketing materials and advertising.
What We Commit:
- Provide a fun time, we sincerely appreciate your time
- Provide orientation session just prior to the tasting session
- If you're able to volunteer for 1 or more shifts, you'll get a free event t-shirt!
- Thank you lunch at our Kiwanis meeting - Wednesday. February 5, 2025 12:00-1:30pm
- Volunteer times:
1 . Friday Morning Set up: 10:00am - 3:00pm* (*3:00pm is approximate and your shift will be over once set-up is completed)
2 . Friday Evening Session: 7:00-11:00pm
3 . Saturday Afternoon Session: 2:30-6:30pm
4 . Saturday Evening Session: 7:00pm - 12:00am
- We kindly ask that you do not show up for your shift early. Right on time is perfect. We have already scheduled the volunteer sessions to begin 30 minutes prior to the event start time to allow for orientation.
What You Commit:
- Provide a great attitude and enjoy yourself
- Help us to hold a safe event by informing Kiwanis Prince George of any persons who appears intoxicated or whose conduct you or your staff deem to be objectionable. Kiwanis Prince George reserves the right to refuse admission and/or expel from the venue, any persons who appear intoxicated or whose conduct is deemed to be objectionable.
-If you don’t feel well or show any symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home.
