Open Space • Performance into Contact Jam •• Hosted by Sunday Jam and KiT Vienna •
Have you ever wondered what could dancers co-create in a short time without any plan?
Can they speak without words to share something touching?
Would you follow your impulse to join if something touches you?
We invite you to our first Open Space, celebrating the opening of the new season!
We will start with a performance, improvising on what emerges from the present moment, with minimal predetermined structure. Then we will welcome you and flow together into a contact improvisation jam.
• Who we are:
KiTVienna has been dancing and performing somatics into Contact Improvisation during the past year. Join us on this journey, get inspired, connect to the performance and engage.
It is the best opportunity to meet the KIT members in action, and experience the atmosphere on your own skin, especially if you are interested in the year long training of KIT Ensemble, that starts on september 24.

Previous experience in movement awareness and contact improvisation is not necessary but helpful.
• What to bring:
Bring comfortable clothes suitable for movement.
• History of Open Space:
Open Space started in August 2023 in Budapest, initiated by KiTEnsemble Budapest. The concept is inspired from the 3rd phase of Barbara Dilley’s Contemplative Dance Practice and from “Open Studio” from Sasha Waltz in Berlin.
