Kitty and JT CelebrationA celebration of 10 years will be held at 49 Franklin in Rumford Saturday November 29th for the duo of Kitty Coolidge and JT Greene. Kitty and JT have been playing as an acoustic duo since teaming up to participate in 2015 for Kaleidoscope, a once monthly party for the arts held at 49 Franklin in Rumford. Venue owner, operator and Kaleidoscope host Scot Grassette recognized Ms. Coolidge's talent after she played at Kaleidoscope several times solo on vocals and piano, and asked if she knew someone who could accompany her on guitar. After the first person backed out, JT stepped in at the last minute, and the rest is a 10-year history built on the love of performing music. Their relationship has grown from musical friends, to courtship and into marriage vows that will be taken next year.
Kitty was taught and mentored by highly respected music coach Thea Dunn and learned piano and vocals, while JT was instructed by his father Rick Greene on the finer points of playing guitar and has learned by sitting in with friends and participating in the MVHS Music Department. Since those days Kitty has received a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Music Therapy and works in that field. JT received a Business Degree and has established a professional career in the banking industry. They have been inspired by bands and artists from the 60's to today. Chad Haynes will open the evening followed by Kitty and JT and friends which include Justin Hamner, Byron Glaus and Chad Haynes. For the full band, get your dance shoes ready because the set list includes plenty of tunes that will bring you to the dance floor. Sound and lights will be expertly done by Precision Audio of Poland, Maine.
Come celebrate 10 years playing all over the state and beyond on Saturday November 29th on the first level of 49 Franklin in Rumford. Doors open at 6:00 pm, with a full pub menu available and cash bar. Performances start at 7:00 pm. This is a 21+ event, and tickets are $25 day of show with $20 advance tickets available downtown Rumford at All That Jazz and online at www.49franklin.com 49 Franklin is a cash only venue.
