Kitten season marks the time of the year when most female cats give birth, typically spanning from May to November. During this period, thousands of adorable kittens will find their way to shelters nationwide.
While the idea of kitten season may seem enchanting, it's actually a critical time for shelters. Orphaned newborn kittens, in particular, require specialized around-the-clock care, making them some of the most vulnerable animals in shelters. Their wellbeing heavily relies on community support.
There’s a 100% chance of kittens in the forecast and we want to be prepared! Come donate supplies or funds, learn about fostering kittens and gather information on how you can help control the community cat population through trap-neuter-return (TNR) efforts.
