Dates: February 4, February 11, February 18, February 25, March 4, March 11, March 18, March 25, April 1, April 8, April 15, and April 22. The registration fee grants you access to all of the dates.
Minimum Age: 7
Maximum Age: 9
Prerequisites: Participants should be able to do basic two-digit addition.
Summary:
This twelve-week course focuses on learning fundamental math concepts through the lens of taking care of imaginary kittens. Join us to created weighted kitten stuffies, kitten abacuses, kitten treats and more!

This is my third term of service with AmeriCorps. Previously, I worked with the homeless and with women and children who were at risk of homelessness or violence. I'm a speed reader - I go through about a book per day. I love watercolor, math, planning classes, and helping kids have aha moments.
Here is what Rachel has to say about herself:
I came to the STEM center because of my love of the laser cutter/engraver, but I am a lifelong lover of all thing MAKING. I also love to sew, bake, paint, and I also adore markers of all sorts. I homeschooled my kids for many years and that included being part of First Lego League for a couple of years, so I know a little bit about robotics as well.
