Join us in the Abbot’s Kitchen after hours for Kith and Kin, a warm-hearted solo show that centres on a day in the life of an everyday Saxon woman living in Somerset in the 9th century - a day that turns out to be unexpectedly and spectacularly anything but “everyday”! From milking a stubborn cow to seeing off Viking invaders to preparing for a great feast, the Saxon hall and the vibrant community who knew it are brought vividly to life in this innovative, immersive performance.Drawn from extensive research and performed in an exciting mix of spoken and sung Modern English and Old English, Kith and Kin is heartful, playful and stirring - a true delight for adults and young people alike.

Kith and Kin is written and performed by south-west based physical theatre performer Leela Bunce. Leela has toured all over the UK, Europe and the US with theatre, clown and cabaret shows.
