Unleash your creativity and craft your very own kite at the National Arboretum these school holidays!Decorate and personalise your kite before taking it out for a test flight at one of Canberra’s most picturesque spots. This activity is perfect for all ages—whether you're a child or simply young at heart, there's no limit to the joy of kite flying!
If the weather isn’t suitable for flying, don’t worry! You can still enjoy the experience of making and decorating your own unique kite to take home, and bring it back on your next visit to the Arboretum.
Suitable for 5 years and over, though children aged 5-7 will require a supervising parent/carer to stay.
*Kite-making is done in an accessible venue with accessible toilet facilities. Kite flying is on the sloped, grass amphitheatre, however visitors can use the level, grassed Events Terrace if required.
