About this Event
Kitchen Herbalism: Folk Practices for reMembering
In this hands-on, reflective workshop, we will look at how everyday foods and herbs carry stories of migration, history, and family.
Using simple kitchen ingredients like herbs and spices, we will slow down together, notice scents and textures, and reflect on the people, places, and traditions connected to these items. Through guided prompts and small group conversation, we will consider how food, plants, and care practices help us stay connected to our ancestors and our own life journeys — including moments of loss, change, and resilience.
No herbal experience is needed. Come learn and share your own family's herbal, food and plant traditions.
