About this Event

kiss&cry Jo Hauge & Nicol Parkinson

I want to share a body with you. Let’s share a body.

At the side of the rink the gate opens, you splay your legs out wide so you can reach a bunch of roses. Sweat has smudged the makeup at the corner of your left eye. Once you are safely ensconced in the kiss&cry, coach grabs a tissue and neatens your makeup, offering you another tissue for your nose. There is no delicate way to blow your nose on live television but you do your best.

You are invited to come into the kiss&cry with us. It will be a lot.

This kiss&cry is a live action fanfiction. It’s also kind of like a haunted house, except figure skating themed and sexy not scary. You’re in the kiss&cry with me and Nicol and coach and the teddies and the bear with the tissues inside and tvs and pink lights and noises and eggs and slime and smoke. It feels good.

kiss&cry is a world imagined by Jo and Nicol loosely based on the area where skaters wait with their coaches to receive their scores. A performance installation with different areas to explore- some have live performance and some don’t.
