The tree frogs are singing every evening now in Kansas, and I love to hear their chorus. Meanwhile, we will meet at the home of our friend Janet, to sing sacred mantras from various wisdom traditions, in gratitude for the gift of being alive together on this beautiful planet. You are welcome to join. The chants are easy to learn, with lyric sheets and explanations as needed. There are comfortable chairs and a couch, and there is space on the carpeted floor as well.
After singing for about an hour, everyone is welcome to stay for refreshments and conversation, as you like.
(The photos are of a Gray Tree Frog, Dryophytes versicolor, native to Kansas. Their body length ranges from 1.2 to 2 inches. They are able to slowly change color to match their surroundings, like a chameleon, so their color can range from mottled grey, to green, to brown.)
