What is Kirtan?
Kirtan music as a form of mantra meditation. Everyone experiences kirtan differently, you can think of it as a sing-along. A broad definition of Kirtan music is a gathering emphasizing participatory, transformational music. It’s a form of mantra meditation.
Kirtan is a growing phenomenon in the West, often associated with yoga studios or meditation centers. The value of kirtan music as a form of group singing is being studied scientifically as a powerful antidote to isolation and stress in modern society.
The word “kirtan” means sharing, telling or reciting. There are no particular beliefs required and you do not have to be a musician.

Bio:
Radha & Benjamin met in Miami, FL where they have been singing together, teaching various classes, workshops and yoga teacher trainings since 2010. Radha Krishna Lila is originally from Brazil and Benjamin Smielowitz from New York they have studied and trained yoga modalities with Sri Dharma Mittra at New York.
Many yogis and teachers have inspired their bhakti yoga journey (yoga for the heart), Radha coming from vaishnava lineage(Hare Krishna Movement) and Benjamin from the jewish tradition. They are fortunate to study with Jai Uttal who inspires their Kirtan path.
They have produced three albums together.
