ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
I’m sorry I can’t come to the phone right now - Kirsten Batten Leach
In 2016, my father was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. Over the next few years I had limited contact with him and rarely answered his phone calls. He often left voicemails, all of which I saved, knowing that those recordings would become the last archive of my dad as his fully present self. This is a meditation on avoidance, forgetting and missed phone calls.

Reni Gyal Snippets - Lauren Horn
“Renaissance Gyal” is a choreographic work that explores the ways in which Black women have set a precedence for culture in America, while simultaneously being erased. Inspired by the renaissance, this piece frames Black creativity in movement, music, art and style as a continuous cultural boom deserving of both deference and celebration.

Nola Sporn Smith presents a new in-process solo exploring Limits: of body meeting space; of internal capacity; of un-effortless balances and levers in which forces don't cancel but stubbornly coexist. Rotating many years of research-slash-love-affairs with the wall down to the floor, finding out what that surface has to offer. Come find out if we ever get to vertical. With live sound collaboration by Z.E.
