Join Us for a 6-Week Circus Jam! 🎪✨We’re hosting a 6-week public circus jam every Sunday from 1-4 PM, March 2nd- April 6th, at The Press Room in Kirksville, MO! This is a great chance to practice aerials, build strength, and have fun with a supportive community. (Schedule subject to change based on space availability—please check Facebook and Instagram for jam confirmation each week.)
Circus Arts
While we are focusing on aerials for these 6 weeks, everyone is welcome to practice other circus skills alongside us!
🤹 Bring What You Want to Practice! Juggling, circus hoops, stilt walking—whatever you’re working on, bring it!
🔄 Learn & Share! Teach someone a skill you know, and learn something new from others.
Aerial Practice
Our first 6 weeks will focus on Lyra (Aerial Hoop) using beginner-friendly techniques from NECCA (New England Center for Circus Arts) (Nimble Arts certification).
Schedule for Aerials:
🛠Setup (30 min) – All participants must help unload & assemble the rig.
🎪 Aerial Practice (2 hours)
• First Hour (Guided Practice) – Led warm-up & conditioning, beginner poses, cool-down & stretching.
• Second Hour (Creative Exploration) – Open time to explore skills, flow, and movement exercises. (If you’re only attending this portion, please warm up and cool down on your own.)
🛠Breakdown (30 min) – Participants must help disassemble & reload the rig.
✔️ Beginners Welcome! You must be able to do all beginner poses unassisted before joining the second hour.
✔️ Aerial Participants Must RSVP! To participate in the beginner aerials first hour, you must RSVP in advance. There is a 6-person cap for this portion of the jam.
✔️ Spectators Encouraged! Come cheer us on.

✔️ Waiver & model release required before entry! (let us know if you prefer not to be in photos).
✔️ Suggested donation: $3-$5 (for participants & spectators at the door).
About Your Hosts: Regina and Courtney
Regina trained at NECCA (New England Center for Circus Arts) and holds certifications in:
🎪 Foundations of Aerials
🎪 Intro to Trapeze
🎪 Intro to Lyra
🎪 Intro to Fabric
She teaches beginner-level aerial skills, stilt walking, juggling, yoga, and more. Regina is excited to share the joy of movement with you!
Courtney has been practicing aerials for about a year and performed in Nature’s Curfew, Kirksville Circus’s first show. She is excited to continue exploring movement and help others discover the magic of circus arts!
