An age old way to minimise waste to landfillKintsugi is the Japanese art of putting broken ceramics back together with gold — built on the idea that in embracing flaws and imperfections, you can create an even stronger, more beautiful piece of art.
Every break is unique and instead of repairing an item like new, the 400-year-old technique actually highlights the "scars" as a part of the design.
Important Information:
The workshop itself is free but you are required to purchase a gold repair kit for $75 before Friday 23 September via this link - https://www.jazelleart.com.au/collections/diy-craft-kits/products/kintsugi-repair-diy-kit . The kit will be provided for you at the event, but we ask you to provide your address in case you can't make it to the workshop for any reason and we need to post it to you instead. After the workshop, the gold repair kit is yours to keep to do more Kintsugi at home in the future!
