About this Event
Discover the traditional Japanese art of Kintsugi or “gold joinery” with artist Emily Thomas, and create/repair a beautiful ceramic piece to take home. You'll learn all about the art and replicate the ancient techniques with contemporary materials.
You will repair a small antique dish - these are unique objects and will vary depending on what can be sourced. A selection of ceramic pieces will be available to choose from on the day.
If you would like to repair something from home, please send pictures of the piece beforehand to [email protected]. We'll do our best to accommodate within the time, however, if it's too complex to repair during the workshop, I will offer advice on how to continue the project at home.
