About this Event

Have you ever felt shattered by life's experiences? Kintsugi is the Japanese art form of repairing something precious with gold. Participants will get to select a ceramic bowl, break it, and repair it.

During this experience you will be guided to take time to look inward and consider any trials you have overcome or are in the process of healing from. This reflective time assists in establishing insights for the New Year in honor of your sacred journey. Our trials are some of our greatest teachers. By reflecting on these experiences, we can see how they make us stronger, more resilient, more compassionate, and help us see our own unique journey with all the ups and downs as miraculously beautiful.

A bowl and mending materials are provided. Wear clothes that are appropriate for this type of project and bringing an apron is recommended.

COST: $40.00

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Dawn Stratton, is a new member of the DYSG community and is thrilled to be meeting so many wonderful people here. She has a degree in Fine Arts from Tyler School of Art at Temple University. She grew up in Pennsylvania and has called both California and Colorado home in her adult life.

She has worked for many years in higher education and for a non-profit organization that teaches business skills to students. She loves to encourage others to find their passions and pursue them. She is a certified Sound and Vibrational Therapy Practitioner and uses crystal and Himalayan sound bowel, drums, chimes and tuning forks in her work. She recently completed Angelic Reiki 1 & 2 with DYSG. She is an avid painter and creative in many areas. She is a believer/user of plant medicines as part of her personal healing journey and has benefited from these modalities greatly by journeying to Iquitos, Peru and the Yucatan jungle in Mexico to work with practitioners from the Shipibo Tribe traditions.

In her "spare time", she loves to read, travel, create, and play with her grandchildren.
