About this Event
We’re delighted to invite you to Kinship Connect, a special event taking place on Thursday 9 October, from 10am to 12.45pm at St Peter’s Church, Moorhead Lane, Shipley BD18 4JH.
This event is part of the Bradford Children and Families Trust’s celebrations for Kinship Care Week (6–12 October) – a national week dedicated to raising awareness, recognising, and celebrating kinship families across England and Wales. Kinship carers play a vital role in providing loving and stable homes to over 141,000 children, often stepping in to care for children of family or friends.
Kinship Connect aims to help families caring for children under kinship arrangements understand what support is available to them and how to access it. It’s also a great opportunity to network with other carers and professionals. Foster for Bradford has invited a range of services and organisations to host stalls showcasing the support they offer to kinship foster carers and families caring for children under special guardianship, child arrangement, or residence orders.
Confirmed stall holders include:
· Carers Resource
· The Book Trust
· Bradford Virtual School
· Info Step 2
· Family Action
· Skills House
· Bradford’s Local Offer
We would be thrilled to have you join us at this important event.
