SPONTANEOUS FILMMAKING IS BACK, BABIES!Welcome to Kino Euphoria 2021! This is a fast-paced international short film workshop that takes place in Helsinki, Finland, in two sessions during July 11th-16th. We will follow the corona safety measures of that time. This year we’re celebrating the 10-YEAR ANNIVERSARY of powerful filmmaking - Kino Euphoria is a decade-old institution of awesome!

The workshop is open for everyone - no previous experience in filmmaking is required to participate. We welcome beginners and seasoned professionals alike.
Our schedule is:
Session I 11.-13.7.
Session II 14.-16.7.
Each lovely session begins with a production meeting where anyone with an idea for a short film presents their idea to the rest of the group. After each presenter has presented their idea and needs (e.g. “I need 2 actors and a forest location” or “I need music and frogs”), filmmaking begins! You can join any film crew you like, in any role you like (actor, editor, sound etc.). We help each other out and plan, shoot & edit the films in a spontaneous way. Two days later we have a premiere at a local cinema.
The event is not a competition nor a battle against time. Our aim is to create new collaborations and experiment in new fields and methods of filmmaking.
We’re working on the possibility to arrange this Kino as a “hybrid event” which means we would do it both physically and online - so if you’re feeling euphoric outside of Finland, don’t be shy, register away <3

The participation fee is 10e/session for members of Euphoria Borealis, and 20e/session for non-members. In the occasion of online participation, the participation fees are naturally smaller. If you can’t afford it right now, don’t fret, email us at [email protected] and we’ll sort it out :)
