The Creative Place is the world's smallest arts centre right here in Northamptonshire. Kingsway, we want to get to know you - so we can create a Shed of Culture with you this autumn. What's a Shed of Culture?! A mini arts space with local stories! Come along to one of the sessions and we'll explain more. We're doing these throughout August then we'll start our Shed of Culture sessions from September, opening the Kingsway Shed of Culture in November.
It's fine to come along just for some food and a chat, or if you're just curious. The sessions are drop-in so you can come along for 10 mins, 2 hours or longer! We're here 1pm - 7pm. Come on your own, bring your family, come with friends, whatever! Teenagers, families, adults, everyone welcome. There will be various creative activities you can have a go at with some local artists. Don't worry, you don't need any experience or skills to get involved, and you don't have to if you don't want to!
We are particularly keen to have Kingsway Greatwell Homes residents involved and people who live/have lived on or near Kingsway but this is open to all. All ages welcome. Young people who are under 13yrs must be with an adult. This is a public event.
There is step free access available to the space. There is free parking on the street or behind the church. We are in Wellingborough Methodist Church which is opposite the Morrisons Daily on Kingsway (look out for the zebra crossing). If you have any access requirements, or just things that would make you feel more comfortable, please let us know.
