Kingstowne Clothiers Neighborhood Group Meeting

Each meeting begins with announcements and upcoming events, then one of our speakers presents on a sewing topic or demonstrates a sewing technique. Questions and recommendations are highly encouraged! The meeting ends with "Sew and Tell," our own take on showing sewing pride or requesting expert assistance! Everyone leaves the meeting with new sewing knowledge, valuable insights, and a feeling of connection to a supportive community.

Info: We'll welcome new members and introduce everyone. We'll provide information on the American Sewing Guild and the Northern Virginia Chapter, and discuss upcoming events, such as sewing retreats and workshops.

Info: During this time, the presenter will discuss some sewing topic or demonstrate some technique to the attendees. Presentations may include slides, hand-outs, samples, or hands-on activities, such as hand-sewing, touching fabric samples or garment details, and practicing new skills. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions to deepen their understanding. In some sessions, there may be interactive elements such as group projects, collaborative brainstorming, or sharing personal sewing experiences.

Info: Sew and Tell is an engaging and interactive event where sewists of all levels gather to showcase their latest projects, share their creative process, and exchange ideas. Participants bring completed or in-progress sewing projects and present them to the group, highlighting unique techniques, fabric choices, and design elements.
