Craig Turton
Co-Founder, 100 Words Mate to Mate
Head of Community Outreach
Craig Turton grew up on the outskirts of Melbourne, spending his early years on tennis courts and footy ovals. At just 12 years old, he began coaching tennis, instilling in him a passion for mentorship. Later, he became a painter and started his own business, where he spent over 32 years mentoring more than 35 apprentices. Through these experiences, Craig heard firsthand the struggles many young men faced, fueling his desire to make a difference.
In 2018, he founded 100 Words Mate to Mate, a charity dedicated to supporting men’s mental health. Through over 50 events and various online initiatives, Craig has created a safe space for men to open up, connect, and support one another. His simple yet powerful approach encourages men to ask, “How’s your day out of 10?”—a question that sparks honest conversations.
